Next to the interesting talks there were some other fun things. CM announced a new product: Mobile Content Billing. Rudy de Waele had a competition where the audience had to submit their definition of Mobile 2.0 and the two best definitions could win a ticket for the Mobile 2.0 Europe event. My definition of mobile 2.0 was only mentioned :)

After the talks we had a few drinks and some interesting discussions with other mobile enthusiasts and professionals.

Status of GPS & Galileo

Location information is an important piece of mobile contextual information as I discussed in my previous post. This information is being used in navigation, construction, logistics, location based services, asset protection and many other areas. When the accuracy degrades, the risk of errors in these areas increases. These errors could in some situations lead to catastrophic failures.

Mobile Context from Sensors

The definition of context is: The interrelated conditions in which something exists or occurs.

These conditions are very dynamic for mobile devices, because we take them with us everywhere we go. With billions of mobile devices being used worldwide, there is a huge connected network of sensors with an enormous amount of unprecedented possibilities yet to explore.

These possibilities are personal, public and social. Especially using the context socially will help users make faster and better informed decisions in both personal and professional life.

Tomorrow: Finding & Sharing Information

Tomorrow we will visit the Microsoft Event 'The New World of Work: finding & sharing information' (Het Nieuwe Werken: informatie vinden & delen).

A new way of working is required in the upcoming creative society. Finding the right information gets more complex with the ever increasing amount of information and sharing the right information becomes more important. You should not only share it with colleagues, but maybe also with the crowd and your competitors.
